• Is there a technical support line at Harman I can call?

• My stove fills with smoke during ignition. Is this normal?
Yes. During ignition the firebox will fill with smoke. Soon after you see flames the smoke will clear out of the firebox. If the smoke does not clear out of the firebox during normal operation this is usually a sign that the stove and venting require a good general cleaning.
• My stove is not working properly and the status light is blinking. What does the blinking status light mean?
Harman Pellet Stoves have self-diagnostics. The status light will blink a code depending on the problem. Consult your owner’s manual for status code definitions.
• My stove is plugged in and it will not run. No lights on the control are lit. What might be the problem?
Assuming you have voltage at the outlet and the stove is plugged in, the power light on the control should be lit. There is a fuse on the circuit board, that when blown, will keep the power light and any other lights from coming on. Refer to a qualified service person for replacement of the fuse.
• Stove will not light automatically, what should I check?
The most common cause of a failure to light is a cleaning issue. Thoroughly clean the stove. Pay particular attention to the following areas. Verify all the holes in the burn pot are open. Remove the cover under the burn pot and clean out the area under the burn pot. Clean between the fins of the igniter, removing any fly ash build up. The stove will not light in room temp mode if the room-sensing probe is not connected, the status light will blink a 4-blink code if this is the case.
• What could cause my feed motor not to run?
The feed motor is wired through a pressure switch on the stove. The combustion blower causes a negative pressure in the firebox closing the pressure switch. If the combustion blower is not running or the venting is blocked the pressure switch will not close. If the door(s) are open the pressure switch will not close. A faulty feed motor, jammed auger and jammed feeder system can also cause the feed motor not to run.
• What would cause a lazy dirty flame?
A lazy dirty flame is caused by a lack of combustion air to the fire. Thoroughly clean the stove and venting. Check that the back draft damper in the air inlet is moving freely and not stuck in the closed position. Damp or poor quality pellets can also be the cause. A faulty or lazy combustion blower would also cause a lazy dirty flame.
• What would cause a smoke odor in my house when burning my pellet stove?
Because the firebox is under a negative pressure and the venting is under a positive pressure the most likely source of smoke odor is the venting. Pellet stoves are approved for use with Pellet Vent Pipe only. All joints and seems should be sealed with high temperature silicone.
• What would cause my stove to have a small flame even when turned on high?
The most common cause would be a restriction in the feed system. A foreign object such as a piece of a bag, piece of wood, etc. could restrict the flow of fuel to the burn pot. Abnormally long pellets can also bridge at the bottom of the hopper restricting the flow.
• Where can I purchase replacement parts for my stove?
Your local dealer is your contact for replacement parts. Harman Stove Company does not sell direct. You can make arrangements through your dealer to purchase parts and have them shipped direct to you.
• Who do I call for service of my stove?
