Why does my unit need to be installed by an authorized Harman dealer?

What is the difference between Catalytic and Non-Catalytic wood stoves?
EPA requires that wood stoves reduce emissions. Most wood stoves, like your car, use a catalytic combustor to clean the particulates out of the exhaust. Catalytic combustors do clog and break down over time. Harman wood stoves use a Non-Catalytic combustor, which is simply a ceramic fiber package, which is chambered to swirl the exhaust and reburn the particles out of it.

What kind and size wood is recommended in a Harman Wood Stove?
Dry or seasoned cordwood is all that is recommended. The hardwoods such as oak, maple, and walnut contain the highest BTU value.

Why does my unit need to be installed by an authorized Harman dealer?
Safety reason and compliances with codes are the main reasons why authorized Harman dealers should install any Harman Unit. Also, with a stove that contains fire don’t you feel better knowing that the unit is installed properly and safely?
